Centre in his second spell at the club, having previously figured in 2003-4 before signing for Salford. A rock in defence and a regular tryscorer, Chris helped the team to the 2006 National Cup final and 2007 Grand Final. A current GB Community Lions' international.

Club captain and an inspirational entertainer since signing from Leigh East in autumn 2005. A previous winner of the NCL Player of the Year award and a former BARLA international, John was named captain in 2006 and has led the side with distinction.

Hooker in his second season with the open age, having previously been a key component in the club's successful under-18s side. Tenacious in defence and with a keen eye for the gap from acting half.

Another product from the under-18s side, who made his debut in 2006-7. A towering centre or second-row, AJ is a fiery tackler with a neat turn of pace. Has attracted the attention of professional clubs.

Winger who previously played for the under-18s before making the first team spot his own in 2006-7. Great strength and pace makes him difficult to stop, recently selected for the Lancashire side.

Stand-off in his second spell at the club, having graduated from the under-18s in 2004-5 when he helped the team win the NCL Grand Final. He moved to Warrington the following summer and after a season with the Wolves' reserve grade returned to Miners in autumn 2007. One of the best goalkickers in the amateur game.

All-action second-row in his fourth season at Miners having joined from Leigh East in 2004. Workaholic in defence and attack, Simon was capped by BARLA as a fullback at East but switched to the pack on arriving at Miners. Hugely popular player at Twist Lane.
Mick Whiteside
Experienced prop forward who signed for the club in autumn 2007 having previously enjoyed some epic battles against Miners during his time at Leigh East. Mick had spent two seasons with Ince Rose Bridge prior to joining Miners, helping the Wigan side reach the National Cup final in 2007.

Young prop forward who has progressed through the youth ranks at Miners from the under-10s to the first team. Also had spells at Leigh and Salford Academies. A grafting front row who has battled back from injury over recent seasons.
