After losing in the National Cup final last year Leigh Miners u18s were hoping to go one better this year, but them hopes were ended this morning in the first round after being well beaten by an excellent Wigan St Pats outfit 40-16.

Prop Jason Unsworth scored two of the three miners tries with Jonathan Grimshaw grabbing the other, Sam Shepard kicking two from three.
