Miners gear up for their big push in the Challenge Cup this weekend against a team they will know all too well by the end of the month. Hull Dockers are the opponents for the next two weekends at least, with a National Cup tie at Twist Lane the week after this Challenge Cup game, and a league fixture still to be announced.

After their win over Shaw Cross Miners could welcome Martin Wilson, Jimmy Muir, Simon Warhurst and Liam Coleman back to the side that beat the Sharks, whilst Dockers had a fine win over Pilkington Recs last weekend and although they are in the relegation zone in the league have been turning in some battling performances.

With a place against the professionals in round three the prize, it should be an intriguing match-up at Tower Grange.
