Leigh Miners Rangers ARLFC (Junior Section) has been awarded the coveted Sports Clubmark Gold Award.
The award rightly recognises the professionalism and dedication of the members of Leigh Miners Rangers Juniors in promoting Rugby League to the youngsters of the local community.
Club Chairman Cliff Littler said, "we are extremely proud to gain this prestigious award and we would like to feel that it reflects the hard work and dedication of all our members, in the tireless work they do voluntarily, week in week out to provide our community with a club with the best possible facilities, where children can play Rugby league in a safe and friendly environment in which they can thrive. This is a massive achievement for us and I would like to thank all those who have attended courses and meetings, filled in forms, and put in the hard work, each and every week, rain or shine, to make this award possible”
The Clubmark Gold award is the cream on the top of what has been a significant period in the clubs history, which recently saw the completion of a massive £250,000 drainage and floodlighting project to their Manchester Road site, and also the launch of the new club playing kit for every team from U7’s to U16’s including their fledgling Girls RL section.
Anyone interested in joining the club as a player, coach or as a volunteer, can contact the club Secretary Steve Lloyd on 01942 514975 or visit www.leighminersrangers.net, and you will receive a very warm welcome.
Further Information:-
The Clubmark Scheme offers clubs an opportunity to show that they have met strict criteria, or that strides are being made to achieve standards in areas such as Duty of Care and Child Protection, Coaching and Competition, Sports Equity and Ethics, and Club Management.
For 2009, the RFL introduced the enhanced level of accreditation of Clubmark Gold to enable clubs to grow and enhance their provision and be recognised by the RFL as focus clubs, this will bring enhanced benefits that would help clubs who achieve the award to grow and sustain all activities and be supported by the RFL. |
